Abstract
The basic unit of local government was provided with public revenues. It is not possible, however, that when used in full to fund the implementation of all the tasks and needs of the local community. Changing environment, municipal infrastructure and to refrain from causing the past years by the local corporations seeking new sources of government funds to implement long-term investments. In this article, the authors have attempted to assess the state of implementation of new management solutions in the sphere of local government finances. The aim of the study was to obtain information about the financial position of commune in Poland (including sources of financing the deficit), and data on the use by decision-makers of this new public management in managing the basic unit of local government. The paper presents selected results of an online survey using their own tests and was shown the actual degree of use of modern management tools.
