Common Agriculture Policy and insurance in Polish agriculture

Abstract
The aim of paper is present the evolution of insurance system in Polish agriculture and presentation the current state of obligatory insurances, especially obligatory crop insurance. In the paper law regulations, state budget circumstances, an demand for crop insurance were presented. Demand for crop insurance will depend on law regulation and rather will not depend on better farmers’ risk management developments and strategies. New regulation implementation will shift government subsidies from crop-loss disaster assistance to subsidizing the insurance premium.
