The union employment policy versus changes on Polish labor market

Abstract
The article brings up the issue of changes taking place on Polish labor market. It shows negative changes in the structure of unemployment among people with university degree. The situation of this group of unemployed was shown based on Siedlce region including Siedlce district and town of Siedlce. The article raises the matter of action which should be taken to counteract the increase of the unemployed with university degree in Poland. The changes should positively influence on structural fits on the labor market and the process of adaptation the level and quality of education to the market needs.The activities taken to counteract the unemployment among people with university degree and the influence of education on this situation can be regarded as the results of the Union employment policy. The European Community accomplishes this policy thanks to money coming from different funds. The money comes from inter alia the European Social Fund, Sector Operation Program – Human Resource Development or the Community Initiative EQUAL. Therefore, it is important to get to know the possibilities of use money coming from the Union funds, which can be used in order to counteract unemployment in Poland
