Abstract
This elaboration introduces some problems of the public finance reform in Poland. It clearly shows that the proceeding of preparing and introducing public finance reforms have to face many barriers that bring about its limited effectiveness. The current situation of the public finances shows a need of their profound reform. The last changes in polish public finances legal regulation and the governmental project of consolidating public finances tend to be the first step in a new direction. The suggested reform should be preceded by preparation and social acceptance of a long-term socio-economic model, made specifically for Poland. Basic elements of that program are included in governmental document “Poland 2030. Development challenges”.
