Compensatory surcharges to less-favored areas (LFA) as a factor of profitability improvement of low-profitable sheep farms

Abstract
The aim of the study was to evaluate the economic efficiency and the determination of compensatory surcharges to LFA in formation of incomes of sheep farms producing in different natural conditions. Areas LFA comprise 51,22-78,37% of total farmlands of studied objects. The sale of livestock and sheep products, independently form the region, comprise only 20% in the structure of incomes. Significant effect on improvement of economic situation of sheep farms had compensatory surcharges to less-favored areas (LFA) of management. They comprise from 4,41% in incomes structure of south region to 6,04% for north-east region. During the analysis of farm profitability it was stated that owing to LFA the farmers incomes increased to about 29,56%. Summing up it is necessary to point that obtained by studied farms compensatory surcharges and grants decided mainly of positive economic result of agricultural activity
