Abstract
Research of higher education competitiveness is very important and absorbing issue. Main cause of this subject is dynamical development of higher education, especially in last 15 years. In this paper we made to attempt the rating polish position higher education with using the synthetic measure. To obtain synthetic measure we used several methods of normalize the diagnostics variables: standardization, zero unitarisation method, quotient transformation with mean, maximum and minimum. After that we made a classification and rating polish provinces in 1999- 2006. We compared obtain results and we stated none statistical differences between used methods
